Working with your electrical contractor
On new construction and renovations, many electrical contractors work with us on a parts-and-programming basis: we supply the fire alarm equipment, the programming and the commissioning, and your electrician handles the wiring. You get a fire alarm specialist on the technical work while keeping control of the installation.
Before rough-in, we take device counts from the floor plans and flag design questions for the engineer, so surprises surface on paper instead of in the field.
Local inspection requirements
Passaic County’s municipalities enforce the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code through their local fire prevention offices. In older buildings, inspections often turn up the same problems: failed batteries, devices painted over or removed during renovations, and panels that no longer report reliably to the monitoring company. We find them, fix them and document the corrections.

Other New Jersey service areas

Yes. We work in all 16 Passaic County municipalities, including Paterson, Clifton, Passaic, Wayne, Totowa, Hawthorne, West Milford and Ringwood.
Can you supply and program a fire alarm system that our electrician installs?
Yes. We supply the equipment, program the panel and commission the system while your electrical contractor handles the wiring. We coordinate device counts and layout from the floor plans before rough-in.
Our building received a fire alarm violation. What should we do?
Send us the violation notice and any recent inspection reports. We'll identify the corrections, price them, complete the work and provide the documentation your fire official needs for reinspection.
How often does a fire alarm system need to be inspected?
NFPA 72 sets inspection and testing frequencies by component, and many items are tested annually. Your fire official and the Uniform Fire Code determine the schedule for your building, and we build the inspection plan around it.
