Property managers
One contractor across your portfolio
Property management portfolios typically include multiple fire alarm systems from different manufacturers, installed by different contractors, in municipalities with different fire officials and inspection cycles. ISTFIRE consolidates them under a single inspection program, a standardized report format and a dedicated point of contact, across northern New Jersey and into New York.
What you get
- Inspections scheduled for every building, built around each fire official’s requirements
- A written NFPA 72 report for each building, ready to file or forward to owners and insurers
- Deficiencies itemized and priced, so you can get owner approval before work starts
- Testing coordinated with superintendents, with notice for tenants and residents
- Legacy and discontinued parts sourced to keep older systems in service
- Repairs on systems from many manufacturers, including systems installed by others
- Monitoring set up or transferred, with signals confirmed at the central station
Violations and reinspections
When a fire official issues a violation for a building’s fire alarm system, forward the notice to our team. We identify the required corrections, provide pricing, complete the work and issue documentation for the reinspection. For an active trouble or impairment, contact our service line at 1 (888) 659-5502.
Testing in occupied buildings
A full test sounds every horn and flashes every strobe, so we schedule with your on-site staff, give you notice language for tenants and residents, and test before or after business hours when daytime alarms would disrupt the building. We coordinate with the monitoring company so the account is placed on test and restored when we finish.
Multifamily, commercial and mixed-use
We work in apartment buildings and high-rises, multi-tenant office buildings, retail centers, warehouses and mixed-use properties. See commercial fire alarm systems for the full range.

Can you service all the properties in our portfolio?
Yes, within our service area. We work across northern New Jersey, including Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Sussex counties, and we are also licensed in New York State, New York City and Maryland.
Can you take over fire alarm service from our current vendor?
Yes. Send us the most recent inspection reports and the panel make and model for each building. We review them, flag anything overdue and set up a schedule. If a proprietary panel needs manufacturer software for programming changes, we tell you up front.
How do you handle tenant notices and access for testing?
We schedule with your superintendent or on-site staff, provide notice language for tenants and residents, and test before or after business hours where needed. We need access to every floor, the roof, mechanical rooms and any tenant spaces with devices.
One of our buildings received a fire alarm violation. What happens next?
Send us the notice and the last inspection report. We price the corrections, complete the work and provide the documentation your fire official needs for reinspection.
Do you offer multi-year service agreements?
Yes. We offer inspection, testing and maintenance agreements that can cover one building or a whole portfolio, on annual or multi-year terms.
Can you keep older fire alarm systems in our portfolio running?
Yes. Sourcing legacy and discontinued fire alarm equipment is a core part of our business. We restore older systems with sourced panel cards, power supplies, modules and devices, so a single failure does not force an unplanned replacement at one of your properties.
